Inspired by a work of art
The name and packaging design of each Quimera limited edition are inspired by a work of art.
Quimera Vítreo 2020 is the reinterpretation of the sculpture "Portal interdimensional" by Alejandro Herrera Guiñazú. The use of glass in the piece reflects the combination of sandy soils and the high temperatures of Finca Mirador, in eastern Mendoza, Argentina.
For the label we selected a detail that distills the chimeric transformation of glass and the high temperature needed to melt it, achieving an image of high visual impact and originality that sums up the concept of singularity present in its creation.
The Quimera Vítreo case replicates one of the two sculptures that make up the work "Portal interdimensional". On the sides, the Quimera brand emerges with embossing and spot varnish that simulate the shine and the texture of glass.
Quimera Vítreo is the third packaging development we have done for this series of limited editions from Achaval Ferrer.

Inspirado en la escultura de Alejandro Herrera Guiñazú. Simboliza la transformación quimérica del vidrio: arena y calor son un paralelismo con el suelo arenoso y las altas temperaturas del este de Mendoza, origen de este vino.
Quimera Granito 2015.
El packaging está basado en un detalle de la obra del escultor Tachuela. La cuadrícula tallada en la roca, se destaca con stamping, representando la interpretación humana de la naturaleza.

Quimera Zonda 2014.
Se seleccionó la pintura "Zonda" del artista plástico Marcelo von der Hyde. Las características de este viento, típico mendocino que mezcla calor y luego frío, representan este blend de varietales y perfiles.
